Missions at First McKinney

We want to be a church that goes.

Missions at a Glance

Church missions at First McKinney begin with a desire to share the Gospel with our neighbors and the nations. Through local outreach, global missions, ministry partnerships, and mission trips throughout the year, we join God in what He is doing here and around the world. Pray. Give. Go. There is a way for everyone to be part of the mission.

Our Vision

A Church That Goes

At First McKinney, we want to be a church that goes. We partner in local, national, and international missions while also sending people to serve short-, mid-, and long-term. Jesus calls His followers to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15), and we want to faithfully respond to that call.

Our vision is to ignite a movement of multicultural people who engage their neighbors, the nations of the world, and the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Missions isn’t something carried by one ministry alone. It is something we can all be part of as we Pray. Give. Go.

Join International Missions

Throughout the year, First McKinney offers opportunities to serve both locally and internationally through service projects, mission trips, and ministry partnerships. God has placed people in our path to love and serve, both near and far, and we want to faithfully share the Gospel wherever He sends us.

Ways In

Pray. Give. Go.

You don’t have to travel across the world to be part of missions. At First McKinney, we encourage everyone to take part in three ways:

Pray

Pray for our missionaries, ministry partners, mission teams, and the people and communities they serve.

Give

Give faithfully to support missions, ministry partnerships, and opportunities to share the Gospel locally and internationally.

Go

Take a step to serve. Join a local church mission opportunity, explore an international mission trip, or consider where God may be calling you to serve for a season or longer.

However God leads you to participate, there is a way for each of us to be part of sharing the Gospel with our neighbors and the nations.

Sensing a Bigger Call?

You Don’t Need All the Answers to Start the Conversation

Maybe God is leading you toward more. If you’re considering becoming a missionary or exploring a call to vocational ministry, you don’t have to have all the answers before starting the conversation. First McKinney Pastors and Ministers would be glad to listen, pray with you, and help you discern what God may be calling you to do and what your next steps could look like.

If God is stirring something in you, we would love to talk with you. Sometimes the first step in answering a call is simply being willing to talk about it.
